Introducing the NEW Blundstone 500 TPU!
Whether you’re headed to the office or the outback, Blundstone 500s offer extraordinary comfort, timeless style, and they’re now more durable than ever!
Blundstone’s legendary 500 series boots are now made with TPU (thermo urethane) soles. The new TPU soles feature:
-Oil, acid and organic fat resistance
-Outsole temperature resistance up to 140 degrees C
-PORON® in the heel strike zone to increase shock protection
-An ergonomically engineered toe spring
-Steel shank to ensure correct step flex point
-The new Blundstone 500/510 are also made with even thicker leather to make sure your feet stay warm and dry no matter the weather.
How do you improve upon the classic, original Blundstone boot? Replace their already high quality, long-lasting, and rugged soles with an even more superior material. The new TPU-soled boots are guaranteed to impress with their temperature, oil, and acid resistance, long-term moisture resistance, and ergonomic design for maximum comfort.
We’ve just received a full container of 2012 Blundstone boots, including the all new TPU-soled 500 series, and beginning the second week of October, we will be selling ONLY the new 500 and 510.
What are some benefits of the new soles?
The new TPU-soled Blundstones are even more durable, water resistant, long lasting, and comfortable than the classic Blundstone 500s you know and love. In an effort to continually improve upon their legendary boots, and uphold the highest standards of quality, Blundstone has upgraded to TPU soles to ensure the maximum lifespan of each boot they manufacture. TPU-soled Blundstones are also oil and acid resistant, are able to resist temperatures up to 140 degrees Celsius, and are highly resistant to hydolysis and microbial attack.
How can you tell the difference between non-TPU soled 500/510s and the new TPU soled 500/510s?
Each pair of Blundstones has a manufacturing date clock molded into the sole. The month and year the boot was manufactured are indicated on the dial. If the center of the dial reads “11″, the boots were made in 2011 and have the new TPU sole. Blundstone 500/510s made prior to 2011 were constructed with the standard PU (polyurethane) sole.

Testimonial
Recently Blundstone discontinued the famous tug shoe and introduced a new replacement, the Blundstone Clog. Not everyone wants to wear a summer, flimsy, flip flop with no support. Now, I can have the same legendary durability and comfort as the iconic Blundstone boot, but in a casual summer clog.
Making us feel oh so good on our feet has been a manufacturing creed for Blundstone. The Blundstone Bl511 stout brown (top) and the Bl512 black (bottom) are weather sealed, oil and acid resistant, with a dual-density polyurethane sole. Compression molded EVA midsole for cushioning and flexibility. The dry wick lining prevents moisture to keep your feet cool and refreshed on any hot summer day. Of course, I also like to wear mine in the fall with my favorite thick comfy socks.
